Housing Project Unveiled For The Commons At Aliso Viejo Town Center
The housing project comes with a plan to create a cohesive retail and restaurant experience for members of the community.

ALISO VIEJO, CA — A big housing project at The Commons at Aliso Viejo Town Center was announced this week, after AvalonBay Communities Inc. announced plans to build a 362-unit mixed-use community in the community's shopping center.
The project, which spans 4.4-acres, will also include a wrap-around parking structure, with one below-ground level, for a total of 543 parking spaces, according to an AvalonBay Communities Inc. news release.
According to the news release, AvalonBay partnered with ValueRock, the property owners of the adjacent retail complex, to create a "cohesive retail and restaurant experience" for residents of Avalon and members of the community. The transformation of the retail center is expected to be completed in early 2024.

"As the first major real estate development Aliso Viejo has seen since the mid-2010's, Avalon Aliso Viejo will improve the surrounding area with a pedestrian-friendly community experience on an otherwise asphalt lot," the news release said. "Avalon Aliso Viejo will create a walkable, village-style environment to give residents added convenience to live, shop, and dine in one place."
