Long Beach Culinary Experience Hits Lake Mission Viejo

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A new culinary experience just opened its doors in Lake Mission Viejo, and the entire community is invited to enjoy Italian dining straight from Long Beach's Belmont Shore. For 67 years, Domenico's restaurant has served the Long Beach community fresh hot pies, delicious steaks and succulent seafood. Now, Domenico's hopes to serve the Lake Mission Viejo community.

The new restaurant features Domenico's famous pizza, pasta and Italian favorites, along with some new additions. The location offers a number of steak, seafood and American dishes unique to Mission Viejo such as braised short rib, wild shrimp scampi and filet mignon.

Domenico's on the Lake is not only unique for its hybrid menu, but for its location. The restaurant is quite literally located on Lake Mission Viejo, and guests can arrive by boat via a nearby dock at the Plaza Del Lago shopping center.

"Domenico's has been fortunate to develop a loyal following by giving diners a uniquely authentic experience and menu, and has become an institution in Belmont Shore and Long Beach," Domenico's Restaurant Co-Owner Mike Rhodes said in a press statement. "When it came to opening our second location, we knew we wanted to combine the same spirit, warmth and time-honored recipes of the original with a more contemporary design and menu that fits the Mission Viejo location."

Rhodes said the end result was a beautiful new restaurant with the feel of an instant classic, and the Domenico's team is delighted with the positive response they've received from the community thus far.

Domenico's on the Lake is located at 27782 Vista Del Lago in Mission Viejo's Vista Del Lago Shopping Center. The restaurant is open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays, and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
