Man, 23, Pleads Guilty To Role In O.C. Jail Brawl
Two co-defendants due in court in August. A fourth is declared a fugitive.

SANTA ANA, CA – An inmate pleaded guilty today and was immediately sentenced to two years behind bars for his part in a fracas last June at the Men's Central Jail in Santa Ana. Fabien Villanueva, 23, pleaded guilty to three counts of resisting a guard and one count of assaulting a guard, all felonies, according to court records. A charge of inciting a riot that caused serious bodily injury was dismissed.
Co-defendants Sergio Camargo, 49, and Leo Chaparro, 39, are due in court Aug. 4 for a preliminary hearing to determine if there's enough evidence to proceed to trial. Co-defendant Michael Joseph Perez has been declared a fugitive.
Inmates grew upset after a search of a cell on June 26 of last year,according to Orange County sheriff's Capt. Jeff Hallock.

Camargo "ran into deputies when walking back to his cell,'' and after he was told to keep on going back to his cell, he allegedly "turned around and took a fighting stance with the deputy,'' which led to a struggle, Hallock said.
As more deputies responded to help that deputy, Camargo and the three others "either jumped into the fight or took swings at deputies through the cell bars,'' Hallock alleged.

Camargo is charged with inciting a riot in a correctional facility causing serious bodily injury, battery with serious bodily injury, resisting an executive officer and assault on a custodial officer, along with a sentence-enhancement allegation of inflicting great bodily harm.
Chaparro is charged with inciting a riot in a correctional facility causing serious bodily injury, assault on a custodial officer and resisting an executive officer, all felonies, along with a misdemeanor count of resisting a peace officer.
Perez is facing felony charges of inciting a riot in a correctional facility causing serious bodily injury, assault on a custodial officer and resisting an executive officer.
