Man Shot In His Apartment By Neighbor In Mission Viejo, Deputies Say
A man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Mission Viejo, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Mission Viejo, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment on La Glorietta at 7:30 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, deputies found a man inside the apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as 39-year-old Miguel Joaquin Mata of Mission Viejo, authorities said.

Deputies established a perimeter around the crime scene and located 55-year-old Sean Jeffery Williams, who lived in an apartment near the victim, sheriff's officials said.
On the basis of interviews and evidence collected at the scene, Williams was placed under arrest and booked into the Orange County Jail for suspicion of homicide, according to the department. It was not yet known what led to the shooting.
