Mission Viejo Animal Shelter May Soon Serve More Cities

City Council approves extending a proposal to Rancho Santa Margarita and Laguna Hills to provide animal care services.

Recent action by the Mission Viejo City Council could extend the reach of its animal shelter, according to the Orange County Register.

On Tuesday, the council approved to move ahead with a proposal for the city to provide animal care services to Rancho Santa Margarita residents.

“I strongly believe that the city of Rancho Santa Margarita – just from what I’m hearing through animal folks that know me and live there – that that’s the city that really wants this better service,” said Sharon Cody, who runs the fundraising arm of the Mission Viejo shelter to council Tuesday, “and they are willing to pay for it.”
