South OC Hospital Ranked Among Top Maternity Hospitals In Nation
For the third year in a row, MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center was named one of Newsweek's 2025 "America's Best Maternity Hospitals."
LAGUNA HILLS, CA — A south Orange County hospital was named among the top maternity hospitals in the nation, after MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center announced that it's been named one of Newsweek's 2025 "America's Best Maternity Hospitals" for the third year in a row.
"We are deeply honored to be recognized by Newsweek," Director Christine Huff said. "We pride ourselves in providing the highest level of care for expectant mothers and their babies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our community."
The annual ranking awards the leading hospitals for maternity care in the U.S. based on several factors, including: hospital quality metrics, patient experience surveys and a nationwide online survey.

According to the ranking, Saddleback Medical Center's commitment to best practices —driven by research and outcomes—sets it apart in Orange County. The hospital's cesarean birth rate for first-time, low-risk mothers mothers is 23.2 percent lower than national and state targets.
"Our hospital offers a range of quality services, including being the only hospital to offer a maternity concierge to every patient—not just patients who are high risk—a 24/7 advice nurse phone line, and lactation consultants," Huff said. "We have an on-site level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to address high-risk pregnancies and emergencies; along with our Obstetric Emergency Department."
