South OC Woman Dies In Fatal Solo-Crash: Police

The crash killed an Aliso Viejo woman and was reported early Saturday morning in the City of Irvine, police said.

IRVINE, CA — An Aliso Viejo woman was killed early Saturday morning after the vehicle she was riding in crashed into a cement pillar in Irvine, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 12:40 a.m. in the area of Alton Parkway and Valley Oak, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Upon arriving, police found the woman who had been driving the car with "serious injuries" from the crash. She was ruled dead at the scene, and later identified as 29-year-old Lucero Delarosa, of Aliso Viejo.

Investigators said Delarosa was driving a grey BZ4x Toyota SUV eastbound on Alton Parkway just east of Valley Oak, when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed with a curb and a cement pillar.

The crash is being investigated by Irvine Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team. Anyone with information was asked to call Detective David Juarez at 949-724-7047.
