In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, a vibrant exhibit is now on display at the Potocki Center for the Arts.

In its third year, the “Art of Well-being” exhibit explores the vital connections between art and mental health through the work of six local artists – Judy Carroll, Neva Elias, Nevine Erian, Susan Menchel, Katia Oloy, and Bhawana Shukla.

The artwork on display encompasses a wide variety of media, styles and subject matter, and each artist offers a unique perspective on how creativity is linked to mental and emotional well-being.

Research shows that art has a positive impact on mental health, and this exhibit was curated to invite conversation on this important topic and encourage viewers to prioritize their own sense of well-being during Mental Health Awareness Month this May.

The exhibit runs through May 29.
