Contest: Paint the Town Purple to Help Fight Cancer
Monrovia businesses are competing to see who can best decorate their storefront to help raise money for Relay for Life. Vote for your favorite purple place here!
By the time Relay for Life kicks off on June 2, organizers hope that runners and walkers will be trotting through an entirely purple town.
The event sponsored by the American Cancer Society has launched a contest in advance of Monrovia's own relay where businesses are challenged to decorate their storefronts in purple to fight back against cancer.
Some local businesses have already joined in on the fun. If you're a business owner, don't miss your opportunity to do some good simply by using a little purple. Monrovia Patch readers' votes will decide the contest's winner. The business with the most votes will receive sponsorship recognition at Relay For Life of Monrovia.
