Free Mulch and Smart Gardening Workshop
All residents are welcome at a smart gardening workshop on Apr. 21 at Recreation Park.
From the Monrovia City Manager's Office:
Monrovia residents, you are invited to attend a FREE Smart Gardening Workshop hosted by the City of Monrovia on Saturday, April 21, 2012, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The workshop will include information about backyard and worm composting, grass recycling, and water and fire-wise gardening; community groups will also be available to provide information about fruit harvesting and native plant selection. Monrovia residents will also have the opportunity to purchase compost bins at a discounted price. Lastly, free mulch will again be available as supplies last. Remember to bring a shovel, gloves, and containers to transport the mulch.
