How To Protect Your Dogs During 4th of July Fireworks

The loud noise of fireworks can startle your canine companions, but there's a solution to keep your furry friends happy as 4th of July fireworks explode in the sky.

The noise of 4th of July fireworks can disturb dogs and send them into a panic; after all, our canine friends don't know the meaning of Independence Day or why that thing just exploded in the sky.

Noted "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Milan has some tips for keeping your dogs happy during fireworks shows:

  • Exhaust your dog with a walk before the show so he or she is calm when the fireworks go off
  • Use doggy-safe earplugs
  • Distract your dog with activities like running on a treadmill or obedience exercises

What can you do to shelter your dogs locally from the loud disturbances of fireworks? Send them to camp.
