• New California law will permit taller residential buildings near train station (monrovianow.com) — New state rules taking effect July 1, 2026 will force Monrovia to allow much taller housing near its Gold Line station, with buildings up to seven or eight stories right next to the platform. Height limits will step down within a half-mile, and larger projects must reserve a share of units for lower‑income households, potentially reshaping neighborhoods around the station.
