UPDATE: No Serious Injuries in North Monrovia Car Crashes

Two crashes happened within blocks of each other Tuesday morning.

UPDATE (10:58 a.m.): Monrovia Police said that the incident, initially reported as a 4-car pileup, was actually two separate crashes within blocks of each other.

The juvenile who reported pain from an injury in the crash was determined to be fine and taken to school, Sgt. Don Newton said. The unrelated collisions happened at Foothill Boulevard and Highland Place and on the 700 block of Foothill.

Four cars were involved in a collision on Highland Place Tuesday morning that injured a juvenile girl, police said.

The extent of the girl's injuries were unknown Tuesday morning, Monrovia Police Sgt. Don Newton said. One of the drivers involved in the collision was being uncooperative with police, he said.
