Man Arrested For Starting Brush Fire: Monrovia Police

According to Monrovia police, a witness positively identified the man as the one who started the fire.

MONROVIA, CA — Monrovia police recently arrested a man on arson charges.

According to the department, on Friday, Oct. 29 at 5:45 p.m., a resident in the 900 block of Royal Oaks called 911 to report a brush fire, and a man seen leaving the area.

After arriving on scene, police said they extinguished the fire and detained a man found in close proximity to the fire.

Police said a witness positively identified him as the one who started the fire. He was arrested and taken into custody.
