Local Dodger Stadium Beating Suspect Has Criminal Record

The Monrovia man accused of participating in the beating of a fan at Dodger Stadium over the weekend has a history of violating the law, according to court documents.

Arthur Daniel Morales, 30, for allegedly participating in the beating of a motorist at Dodger Stadium following a minor traffic collision Sunday night. Morales is one of four suspects arrested in the case and was driving one of the vehicles involved in the collision, police said.

According to court records, Morales has been convicted of driving without a license twice in 2004 and driving without evidence of insurance and driving outside a marked lane in 2007.

Morales and the driver of another vehicle got out of their cars and argued following the collision after the Dodgers beat the Cardinals Sunday night. The two got into a fistfight and three men in Morales' car then joined in.

"At some point, three guys from another car jumped out, grabbed the victim, threw him down to the ground and held him down, while the fourth person kicked and punched him in the face," LAPD Cmdr. Andy Smith told CBS2.

Three police officers witnessed the attack and quickly apprehended the suspects.

Bail was set at $30,000 for each of the four. The other men were identified as Alan Trujillo, 29, of Los Angeles; Ulisis Briceno, 26, of Los Angeles; and Alejandro Briceno, 29, of La Crescenta.

"All four men have now posted bail," LAPD spokeswoman Officer Karen Rayner said Monday afternoon. "Two were released earlier today and the other two were being processed out late this afternoon.''

The injured man, whose name was withheld, was treated at a hospital and released. A passenger in his vehicle, a woman about eight months pregnant, was taken to a hospital for a precautionary examination and then released, police said. She was not involved in the altercation.
