Party in Old Town Like It's 2012

The city's Old Town district will sponsor its first New Year's Eve party this year, complete with a beer and wine garden.

Monrovians can celebrate the coming of the New Year in Old Town for the first time in the city's first annual "New Year's Eve on Myrtle" event scheduled for you know when.

Sponsored by the Monrovia Old Town Merchants Association and the Kiwanis of Monrovia, the street party will feature a beer and wine garden, a live band and the requisite midnight toast and ball drop.

Admission is free, drinks are $5. The event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight.
