Pedestrian Hit By Car on Myrtle Avenue, Transported to Hospital

The vehicle struck the pedestrian as it traveled southbound on Myrtle Avenue Friday night.

A female pedestrian was transported to the hospital Friday night after she was struck by a car traveling soutbound on Myrtle Avenue, police said.

The woman is in "fair" condition and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, according to Monrovia Police Lt. Jaime Alfaro.

Emergency personnel responded to the collision in the 100 block of South Myrtle Avenue at about 8:11 p.m., Alfaro said.

Alfaro said police are investigating to determine who was at fault in the collision. There was no indication that the driver was intoxicated, he said.
