Photos: Car Flips Over on Huntington Drive

No one was seriously injured after an SUV allegedly hit a BMW and flipped it over.

A car wound up upside down on Huntington Drive Friday morning after a man driving an SUV allegedly pulled out into traffic, collided with the silver BMW and flipped it over.

No one was seriously injured in the wreck, which was reported to authorities at about 10:30 a.m. The driver of the BMW suffered superficial wounds to his head and neck and was being taken by ambulance to the hospital as a precaution, Monrovia Fire Capt. Mike Cate said.

The driver of the flipped car was wearing a seatbelt, Cate said.

"He was able to get out on his own," he said.

Cate said the car is likely a total loss. The driver of the white Toyota SUV did nto sustain any injuries, Cate said.

The accident happened when the SUV, parked on the street outside , allegedly pulled into traffic and collided with the BMW, Cate said. The driver of the BMW said he was traveling at about 35-40 mph when the collision happened.

Police cordoned off Huntington Drive from Monterey Avenue to Highway Esplanade Friday morning to investigate the crash.
