• Judge rules Montclair councilmember owes $1.35 million in sexual harassment suit (dailybulletin.com) — A San Bernardino County judge has tentatively ruled that Montclair Councilmember Ben Lopez is liable for substantial damages in a sexual harassment case brought by two city employees, with a further hearing on punitive damages set in Rancho Cucamonga. The city of Montclair has already paid a settlement to the workers and is now set to be indemnified, while the plaintiffs say the ruling sends a message about workplace misconduct by local officials.
