UPDATE: 2 Moorpark Schools Put on Lockdown After Report of Person with Gun

UPDATE 4:03 p.m. The lockdowns have been cancelled, according to the Ventura County Star. 

2:14 p.m. Walnut Canyon Elementary School and Chaparral Middle Schools are on lockdown as deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department search the area near Moorpark City Hall and the two schools after reports of an armed person who might have been making threats, according to the Ventura County Star. 

Deputies are also outside City Hall, according to the report.
