City to Hold Community Workshop on Proposed Expansion of Mine

The City of Moorpark has scheduled a workshop this month for residents can learn about the expansion of Grimes Canyon gravel mine, according to a report from the Ventura County Star.

The city recently appealed the the county's planning commission approval of a conditional use permit for the project, the report said. 

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will hear Moorpark's appeal at an Oct. 22 meeting, the report said.
