Moorpark to Host E-Waste Collection, Paper Shredding Event
Get rid of small electronic devices, household batteries and fluorescent lights Saturday.

The city of Moorpark is inviting residents and businesses to take part in an electronic waste event Saturday.
The free event offers participants the opportunity to get rid of computer equipment, game consoles, printers, scanners, fax machines, computer monitors, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, answering machines, telephones and similar equipment.
Participants can also bring fluorescent lights and household batteries.

In conjunction with the e-collection, there will also be secure paper shredding available to residents. A maximum of 6 file boxes or 12 grocery bags of paper per customer will be shredded free of charge; a fee of $4.00 per additional box or $2.00 per additional bag will be charged. No items other than paper which can be shredded will be accepted for shredding.
The event will take place from from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moorpark Public Services Facility, 627 Fitch Avenue (behind the Police Services building off Spring Road and Flinn Avenue).
