• Deputies make several drug arrests (mpacorn.com) — Several Moorpark residents were recently arrested after sheriff’s deputies searched a home on Avenia Colonia and reported finding methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana and drug-sale paraphernalia. Authorities say seven locals face various allegations ranging from being under the influence to possessing drugs for sale, and the investigation is still ongoing.
   

• East Ventura County prepares for Waymo, driverless vehicles (vcstar.com) — Moorpark is on the list of cities cleared for future Waymo driverless taxi expansion, meaning local streets could eventually see autonomous cars once state regulators sign off. Law enforcement agencies covering Moorpark haven’t received detailed plans or training yet, but new state rules taking effect July 1 will require direct communication tools and safety measures for these vehicles.
