Water Plan Has Major Leaks

The Las Posas Basin Aquifer Storage and Recovery Project in Moorpark, which was established two decades ago to increase water reserves in Southern California, has gone dry, according to the Associated Press, Huffington Post reports.

The original idea was to create an underground lake so enormous, it would hold enough water to feed into all of Los Angeles, said the report.

But at Las Posas, the water has disappeared, the website said.
