2 People Injured In Clinton Keith Road Crash Near La Cresta

CHP Officer Mike Lassig said two vehicles, including one towing a trailer, were stopped on the road and were rear-ended.

MURRIETA, CA — Two people were sent to a local hospital Thursday following a three-vehicle crash on eastbound Clinton Keith Road in unincorporated Murrieta, near La Cresta.

The crash was reported at 11:58 a.m., just east of Avenida La Cresta.

California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig said two vehicles, including one towing a trailer, were stopped on the road when a third vehicle rear-ended them.

Two people who were outside the stopped vehicles were injured. An update on their medical condition was unavailable, Lassig said.

As of 1:45 p.m., eastbound Clinton Keith Road remained closed but traffic was being directed through, Lassig confirmed.

"We are waiting for the vehicles to be towed," he said.

The roadway was expected to fully reopen shortly.

The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
