Teen Suspected Of Murrieta School Threat That Made 200 Skip Class
Police said Anita Nichols, 19, made a threat against a Murrieta school on SnapChat.
MURRIETA, CA — An arrest was made Wednesday in connection to a Murrieta school threat that was posted to social media. Police said Anita Nichols, 19, made a threat against a Murrieta school on SnapChat, but did not elaborate on what the threat said.
Police received information late Sunday that a threat was posted on the social media website. The threat prompted nearly 200 students in the city to skip school or leave early Monday, police said.
An investigation led police to Nichols, who was served with a search warrant at residence in the 33000 block of Willow Haven Lane. With the help of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, officials were able to identify Nichols as a suspect, police said.

Nichols was placed under arrest for the threat and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
Police said Murrieta schools have received four threats since Jan. 1, with all threats leading to arrests.
