Friends, there is amazing service happening in our community that we want to bring awareness and recognition to! Our neighbors at the Murrieta United Methodist Church at 24652 Adams Ave, Murrieta, run a pantry that distributes food to families in this area every Friday from 8am to 9am. The good volunteers at the pantry serve 150 to 200 families each week, distributing free canned and packaged goods, along with some vegetables, breads, meats, and dairy products. According to the Murrieta United Methodist’s website, the pantry is supported by the generous offerings of its congregation, and also by contributions from other area churches, schools, service organizations, as well as Albertson’s, and Amazon Fresh. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been blessed to partner with this good organization for many years and is grateful for the work it does to serve our community! If you would like to support the pantry in any way or to learn more about it, please contact Ann Hartwig and Debbie Hanlon, who coordinate the pantry’s efforts, at foodpantry@murrietaumc.org.
