HEMET, CA — A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck near Hemet Friday at 4:47 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was centered 4 miles southwest of East Hemet and 4.4 miles south of Hemet — 5.9 miles southwest of Valle Vista and 6.8 miles of San Jacinto.
It was 8.4 miles deep.
