Earthquake Shakes East Of Temecula Valley, USGS Says

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A magnitude-3 earthquake struck Riverside County Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake hit at 8:09 a.m. at a depth of 3 miles, and it was located:

  • 13 mi ESE of Anza
  • 14.3 mi SW of La Quinta
  • 16.2 mi SSW of Palm Desert
  • 16.8 mi S of Rancho Mirage
  • 23 mi S of Palm Springs

People in both the Temecula and Coachella valleys reported feeling the temblor via the U.S.G.S. 'did you feel it?' application. No damages or injuries were immediately reported.
