UPDATE: All Lanes Open on I-15 South in Murrieta Following Roadwork
A traffic backup Wednesday on southbound Interstate 15 in Murrieta was due to a Caltrans lane closure for maintenance.
UPDATE 2:20 p.m. Sept. 18:
The lane closure had ended and the roadway was clear as of 1:49 p.m., according to CHP.
ORIGINAL POST 12:07 p.m. Sept. 18:
A traffic backup Wednesday on southbound Interstate 15 in Murrieta was due to a lane closure, California Highway Patrol reported.
The number three lane at the Nutmeg Avenue overpass was closed as of 8:45 a.m. Wednesday for Caltrans maintenance, according to CHP's website.
As a result, southbound I-15 traffic was slow from Clinton Keith Road to the California Oaks Road/Kalmia Street exit.
