Motorcyclist ID'd In Murrieta Crash As 25-Year-Old Menifee Resident

Drivers were told to avoid the area of Los Alamos Road, between Monroe and Madison Avenues, for much of Sunday due to the crash.

MURRIETA, CA — A major injury traffic collision claimed the life of a Menifee man, Riverside County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Bureau said.

Brian Bridgeforth, 25, died at the intersection of Los Alamos Road and Hospitality Place at the scene of the crash, according to the coroner's office.

Just after 11:30 a.m., the Murrieta Police and Fire departments responded to a collision to find a motorcycle and vehicle collided, according to numerous witnesses.

Murrieta Fire Department and Murrieta Police arrived at the scene and rendered life-saving care to Bridgeforth, but he was pronounced dead, according to police Lt. Miguel Garcia.

Witnesses to the crash say a sedan and motorcycle collided, and the motorcyclist was downed in lanes, unresponsive.

"The driver and passengers of the vehicle remained at the scene and were cooperative," Garcia said. "They provided investigators with a statement, and the driver did not show any signs or symptoms of impairment. Investigators also obtained a statement from a witness."

Officers remained at the scene for several hours, completely shutting down Los Alamos Road for their crash investigation.

"The investigation is ongoing. Traffic Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident," Garcia said.
