Man Found Dead At Menifee Park

According to the Menifee Police Department, passersby spotted the body and called 911.

MENIFEE, CA — A man was discovered dead in a Menifee park Wednesday, but police said there were no signs of foul play.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was located at about 8 a.m. adjacent to a tennis court at Wheatfield Park, in the 30600 block of Menifee Road.

According to the Menifee Police Department, passersby spotted the body and called 911. Patrol officers and paramedics reached the location minutes later and confirmed that the man was deceased.

"Initial investigation has not revealed anything suspicious or criminal in nature," according to an agency statement.

It was unclear exactly when the victim died, or how long the body had been there before being found.
