MENIFEE, CA — Construction along Interstate 215 in Menifee is ramping up, but one project is close to finishing.

The $35 million overpass is designed to ease east/west traffic flow in the city. It is situated between the Newport Road and Scott Road overpasses, which are currently the only other I-215 crossings in the city.

The bridge's construction began when Menifee officials held a groundbreaking ceremony on Dec. 5, 2022. At the time, dignitaries said the overpass would be a key regional connection relieving congestion for both Menifee residents and motorists countywide.

The project includes extending Holland Road on the west side of the freeway, realigning Willowood Lane, and carving out a new cul-de-sac at Dutch Circle.
The project contractor is Riverside Construction Company, Inc.
