Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Highway East Of Temecula Valley

The CHP is investigating the deadly wreck.

AGUANGA, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday when his bike overturned on state Route 371 in Aguanga.

The fatality happened about 1:35 p.m. on the eastbound 371, just north of Lake Riverside Drive, near the Cahuilla Indian Reservation, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The rider, whose name was not immediately released, went down and rolled onto the shoulder of the highway. A motorist in a Honda Civic was struck by crash debris but was not injured, according to the CHP.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location within a few minutes and attempted to revive the victim, who was pronounced dead about 2 p.m.

No lanes were shut down as a result of the crash, which the CHP is investigating.
