Murrieta To Host Ribbon-Cutting For Sykes Ranch Park On Oct. 3
Community members are invited to come out and celebrate the rich history of an original homesteading family in Murrieta.

MURRIETA, CA — The city of Murrieta is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sykes Ranch Park on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The event, taking place at 9:30 a.m., will offer residents an opportunity to learn about the founding Sykes family homestead and ranch. The Sykes are one of Murrieta's original homesteading families.
Organizers will also recognize the Murrieta Valley Historical Society, which has supported the unveiling of the park and worked hard to research one of the area's original homesteading families, the city said in a release.

"We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate this significant milestone in our community’s history!" A city spokesperson said in a release.
