Murrieta To Host Virtual 'State Of The City' Sept. 17

"This event tells a piece of the 2020 story from the perspective of city hall," said Murrieta's City Manager Kim Summers.

MURRIETA, CA—The City of Murrieta will host its annual "State of the City" address Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.

According to city officials, Mayor Gene Wunderlich and the city’s leadership team are scheduled to present this year’s virtual event with the theme being "Strengthened by Community."

Live from the chamber of commerce studio, with integrated video, city officials said the "State of the City" will recognize the connectivity of residents, businesses and the city, as they address challenges, provide essential services, advance key projects, and move together through a year like no other. There is no registration required to join the event.

“I don’t think any of us expected 2020 to unfold the way it did,” said Murrieta’s City Manager Kim Summers. “And we recognize that there’s a long way to go. I am not at all surprised at all, however, at the way our residents, city staff and local businesses came together in crisis to support one another and get things done. This event tells a piece of the 2020 story from the perspective of city hall.”

The "State of the City" will live-stream on the City of Murrieta and the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages and the Chamber’s YouTube channel. Recorded versions will run on both organizations’ websites.
