Murrieta Hot Springs Road Closure Due To Downed Tree, Amid Growing Storm
Westbound Murrieta Hot Springs is closed to traffic on Friday as officials work to remove an enormous tree from the roadway.

MURRIETA, CA — Both westbound lanes of Murrieta Hot Springs Road were temporily closed Friday as crews worked to clear a downed tree.
Around 3 p.m., crews headed to the area on Murrieta Hot Springs between Via Princessa and Date Street to cut apart and remove the tree that was blocking the roadway, according to officials.
In that area, large trees are known to grow right near the roadway.

"There is no definitive time it will be reopened," Murrieta Police advised. "Please avoid the area or find a suitable detour for now.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
