Murrieta I-215 Road Work To Continue In December
CalTrans is urging commuters to plan for traffic delays along a stretch of Interstate 215 between Menifee and Murrieta.

MURRIETA, CA — Motorists in Southwest Riverside County are advised to be prepared for traffic delays and construction along Interstate 215 through Menifee and Murrieta after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Crews will be working to improve the road surface, update shoulder rumble strips, enhance culverts, upgrade guardrails, stabilize slopes and boost highway worker safety, CalTrans announced Tuesday.
The work will take place along a stretch near Murrieta — from one mile north of Clinton Keith Road to one mile north of Newport Road.

Daytime work is scheduled between Tuesday, Dec. 3 to Thursday, Dec. 6 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with shoulder closures in place. The Scott Rd Loop off-ramp will have a lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during this time. No lane or shoulder closures are planned for Monday, Dec. 2 and Friday, Dec. 6, according to CalTrans.
Crews will be working on both the southbound and northbound lanes of I-215.

"Commuter access will be maintained, with shoulder closures and lane reductions in effect," CalTrans said. "Watch for signage alerting motorists of the construction zone. Drivers should anticipate traffic delays and plan accordingly."
During construction, crews will also work on landscaping, rock blanket installation and more. Shoulders and lanes will be closed on northbound I-215 at the Scott Road Loop off-ramp for the rock blanket installation. And day work will proceed on both directions of the highway between Clinton Keith Road and McCall Boulevard.
