Murrieta Park Ranked No. 1 ‘Sportiest’ Public Park in CA, Survey Finds

The survey says 3,002 Californians weighed in on the state's most active outdoor spaces.

MURRIETA, CA — A new survey of more than 3,000 Californians has crowned Murrieta’s own California Oaks Sports Park the No. 1 “sportiest” public park in the state, beating out major recreation hubs in Orange County and the Sacramento region.

The statewide poll, conducted by SportsBookReview.com, asked 3,002 respondents to identify the parks where sports culture is strongest, from pickup basketball and youth soccer to weekend jogs, skate sessions and family-friendly recreation. California Oaks Sports Park rose to the top spot, followed by Lake Forest Sports Park in Orange County and the Placer Valley Soccer Complex in Roseville.

Nationally, California Oaks Sports Park ranked no. 2, just under Central Park in Manhattan.
