Murrieta Traffic Signals Out, Flashing Amid Power Shutoffs
"The city is working on getting the traffic lights working properly as soon as possible."
MURRIETA, CA — Red lights flashed at several Murrieta intersections Wednesday morning, causing traffic delays, the police department shared. The outage was due in part to the Power Safety Shutoffs.
"The city of Murrieta is aware that some of our intersections and traffic lights are out or not working properly," a department spokesperson said. "The city is working on getting the traffic lights working properly as soon as possible."

When a traffic light at a controlled intersection flashes, you must come to a complete stop, treating it as if it were a stop sign. "Only proceed when it is safe, and you have the right of way to do so," they said.
