New Off-Leash Dog Park Coming To Murrieta
The pooch-friendly park will mark the third of its kind in the city.
MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta is getting another off-leash dog park — where Fido and friends can run free.
During Tuesday night's Murrieta City Council meeting, the council unanimously approved $190,500 in funding for civil design services and an additional $247,627 appropriation of Proposition 68 grant funds for the project at Glen Arbor Park.
The park at 23830 Jackson Avenue will be enhanced to feature dedicated dog zones, with fenced separation for small and large canines; play elements; drinking fountains for pooches and people; and an Americans with Disabilities Act accessible path of travel, according to the city.

The city currently has two off-leash dog parks: Alderwood Park, 28796-28622 Baxter Road, and Torrey Pines Park, 39455 Torrey Pines Road.
"This third location [at Glen Arbor Park] will offer residents in the central and western portions of the City a closer and more convenient location for exercising their dogs," according to the city.
