Section of Clinton Keith Road Closed Due To Power Pole Crash

Due to the crash Friday evening, eastbound lanes of Clinton Keith Road—east of I-15 near the Wildomar-Murrieta border—may be closed for three to five hours, a fire official said.

A truck that smashed into a power pole Friday on eastbound Clinton Keith Road at Bridlepath Lane in Wildomar—east of Interstate 15 near the city's border with Murrieta—has forced a road closure.

The crash involving a gray Nissan Titan was reported shortly before 6 p.m. and eastbound Clinton Keith traffic is shut down at press time.

Southern California Edison has been called to the scene.

Duncan said eastbound Clinton Keith Road is expected to be closed for three to five hours as crews work to repair the pole.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Residents in the immediate area are not reporting power outages at press time, although a Patch reporter on scene said traffic signals were out at Clinton Keith Road and the 15 Freeway. It's not confirmed whether the outage is due to the crash.
