MURRIETA, CA — At least three vehicles collided Friday morning on the southbound I-215 Freeway near the Clinton Keith Road exit in a possible hit-and-run collision, California Highway Patrol officers reported. A black Acura is being sought in connection with the chain-reaction crash, according to CHP reports.

Just before 8:15 a.m., a big rig, van, and truck heading southbound on I-215 near the Clinton Keith Road exit collided in a non-injury crash, according to CHP reports. No one was injured in the crash that snarled traffic through the area over an hour later.

The truck and van drivers ended up in the center divider, while the semi-truck driver ended up on the right-hand side of the freeway.

Shortly after the crash, CHP received a tip that another car, a black Acura with heavy front end damage and front bumper hanging, was seen exiting Los Alamos Road at high speeds.

The tipster lost sight of the damaged Acura near Hospitality Place and Los Alamos Road, closing in on the I-15 Freeway. Murrieta Police are now seeking that vehicle on suspicion of being involved in the crash, according to CHP.
