The Splash Boyz empowers SoCal youth through competitive basketball and purpose-driven community engagements
Committed to nurturing both athletic talent and personal growth, the Splash Boyz delivers expert coaching and a community-focused approach.

The Splash Boyz, a nonprofit corporation based in Murrieta, California, is currently expanding opportunities for young athletes across the southern region through a basketball program rooted in strong fundamentals, mentorship, and community values. Serving boys from grades 3 through 8 (generally ages nine to 15), the organization helps players flourish on and off the court while instilling discipline, accountability, and teamwork.
Essentially, the Splash Boyz was founded by former collegiate athletes who saw the need for high-quality basketball development without the inflated costs or business-first approach common in many club teams. That is why the corporation has remained entirely volunteer-run since its inception, charging only $225 per month for gym rentals and tournament costs. This setup removes financial barriers and makes the program more accessible to interested young hoopers.
“This program is not about chasing revenue. We are focused on building a competitive environment where kids learn how to work hard, improve their game, and grow into dependable young men. That’s the mission, and it manifests in how we coach and lead the groups we form,” said Head Coach Dominic Priestley.

The Splash Boyz teams practice twice a week from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at The PAC Training Facility in Lake Elsinore. They also compete regularly in elite-level and invite-only tournaments throughout the region. Players may come from the organization's covered areas, including Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Wildomar, French Valley, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Lake Elsinore, Hemet, Perris, Valley Center, Winchester, and Moreno Valley.
Although any eligible individual may participate in the tryout, the management specifically emphasized that their evaluations are consistently grounded in skills, coachability, and effort.

“We take pride in the way our players carry themselves, not just in games but in how they train, support each other, and most importantly, represent their communities. We always believe that basketball is the vehicle, so the lessons learned by players should always go well beyond the court,” Priestly stated.
While the Splash Boyz continues to earn recognition for its competitive play, it remains deeply committed to making a positive impact in the community. With a nonprofit structure and a values-based approach, it offers families something increasingly rare in youth sports—a high-level yet affordable program led by individuals who prioritize the players’ development over financial gain.
