SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed on Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
A warm weekend will give way to patchy fog Monday morning, lowering temperatures to the 60s, with rain likely Tuesday through Thursday as burn scar areas brace for possible mudslides.

In Southern California, thousands of anti-ICE protesters marched in protest of immigration policies, causing “major gridlock” on a major freeway, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Videos from the scene showed demonstrators waving “Mexican and Central American flags, and chanting “Si se puede” during the protest.

Also, a Saturday pursuit that began with a fatal shooting in Riverside County ended with an SUV speeding down the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach. Police fired upon the driver, killing him. His victim was identified as a Temecula woman, as investigators seek a motive for the homicide.
Finally, according to Cal Fire, the Southern California wildfires were fully contained after 24 days of burning.
Also, nearly 300 steelhead trout were rescued from the Santa Monica Mountains, saving their presence for future generations of fishermen, many hope.
