• Port approves plan for 8,000 acres of expanded territory in San Diego Bay (sandiegouniontribune.com) — National City’s bay waters are now more tightly managed as the Port of San Diego advances a plan to extend its authority over 8,000 additional acres in San Diego Bay, including the area up to the National City Marine Terminal. The move supports aquaculture, conservation, navigation, and existing industrial leases, and still needs final approval from state coastal and lands commissions.
