There were 10 players this week, decreasing the players per tournament average to 11.86 (-0.07). Five players out of ten earned GRPs this week, practically unheard of with ten players. Getting closer to his Bronze award, Craig Rothbach took first place with a 14/6 scorecard. Wayne Morris edged out Rich Hammock by 14 pegs to take second place with 13/6 scorecards. Jim Perry found fourth place with a 12/6 scorecard. Too bad he lost his last game in the stink hole to Carol Witt. Extending his Club GRP lead again, Loren Lookabill lost his first two games, won the next five and lost the final two games to slide into fifth place with a 12/5 scorecard. So far in this young fourth quarter, he has earned 27 GRPs (13.5 GRPs/tournament) while winning 66.7% of his games.
Wayne Morris started things off with a 20-point hand in game 1, which was quickly eclipsed by a 21-point hand held by Theo Mattingly, also in game 1. Rich Hammock increased the pressure with a 22-point hand in game 2. It was Rich and Wayne finishing the night with 24-point hands.
