Car Crash on Mayhews and Sycamore

At 4:59pm there was a loud screeching of tires heard, followed by the sound of a car crashing.

Two vehicles appear to have been entering the intersection of Mayhews and Sycamore at the same time, and from what some bystanders say, neither appear to have wanted to give up their lane position. Suffice to say, both vehicles came to a halt on the sidewalk, beside each other.

The Police and Fire Department appeared on scene to remedy aid and investigate the circumstances.

This is a reminder to all drivers to be vigilant in being cautious entering and exiting intersections.

Historically this intersection has had its fair share of vehicle accidents and close calls to pedestrians.. including children walking home from school.
