The nighttime closures are expected to affect motorists traveling from San Francisco, San Mateo and South Bay to East Bay areas.

NEWARK, CA — The eastbound direction of the Dumbarton Bridge will be closed five nights starting Monday for repaving work, Caltrans officials announced.
The closures are scheduled to take place beginning Monday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 3, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., Caltrans said in an updated news release.
Originally the road work wasn't scheduled to begin until Tuesday, Oct. 31, but Caltrans updated the dates of the closure last week.

During the closure, crews will work to repave the roadway from the east end of the bridge to the toll plaza, Caltrans said.
