Newark To Host Free Summer Concert Series 'Groovin At The Grove'
The free summer concerts will be held every other Friday through July.
NEWARK, CA — The city of Newark will kick off its free summer concert series, Grovin' at the Grove beginning Friday, June 16 at the Shirley Sisk Grove next to the NewPark Mall.
The free summer concerts will be held every other Friday, June 16, June 30, July 14, and July 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. so bring a blanket or folding chair, grab a spot, and enjoy the music.
One More Time kicks off Grovin' at the Grove's opening night, June 16 at 5 p.m. followed by ZEBOP! at 6 p.m.

Mike Torres Band will start the June 30 show at 5 p.m. followed by The Servants at 6 p.m. then on July 14 Randy Lira's All-Stars will perform at 5 p.m. followed by Evolution at 6 p.m.
For the final concert in the series July 28, OMT Band will play beginning at 5 p.m. followed by the always popular Tortilla Soup at 6 p.m.

Don't forget to join the city July 16th for its annual Mariachi Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. at Shirley Sisk Grove. Enjoy mariachi bands, local ballet folklorico performances, food, community resources, and more at the free event.
